By accessing or using Scripturix ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Scripturix.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
02 Description of Service
Scripturix is a Bible study platform available on the web and on mobile devices. It provides Scripture in multiple translations together with tools for reading, searching, and study.
Depending on your plan, the Service includes the following:
Reading and search - Scripture in multiple translations, keyword and meaning-based (semantic) search, and topical reference pages.
Study tools - cross-references, Strong's numbers and word study, original-language morphology, and a commentary library (for example Matthew Henry, Strong's, Nave's Topical Bible, and the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge).
AI study modes ("Insight") - explanations, summaries, and study aids generated by artificial-intelligence models, subject to daily usage limits.
Reading plans - structured plans with progress tracking, history, and cross-device sync.
Your library - bookmarks, highlights, notes, collections, saved verse images, and voice notes (audio recordings that may be transcribed and summarised).
Social features - friend connections, an activity feed, public profiles, and the ability to share content with others or by public link.
Notifications - email and optional push notifications.
03 Your Account
Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate and complete registration information and to keep it up to date.
You may sign in with an email and password, or through a third-party provider (Google or Apple). Third-party sign-in is also subject to that provider's own terms.
You may be asked to verify your email address before using certain features.
You are responsible for managing the devices and sessions connected to your account, and for notifying us promptly of any unauthorised use.
We may suspend or limit accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or abusively.
04 AI-Generated Study Content
The Service uses third-party artificial-intelligence models to power features such as Insight study modes, semantic search, and the transcription and summarisation of voice notes. To provide these features, the relevant content you submit (for example your question, the passage in view, or the audio of a voice note) is sent to those providers for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details on the providers involved and how this data is handled.
Scripturix is built to stay faithful to the biblical text. AI study answers are grounded in Scripture and in a curated study corpus (Bible text, commentary, and reference works), and they cite the sources they draw from. The Service runs an automated faithfulness check on every answer: a response whose claims are not supported by Scripture or the available corpus is regenerated under tighter constraints, and the Service abstains rather than present unsupported or invented content.
These safeguards are designed to keep answers tethered to the text, but no automated system is infallible. AI study content is a study aid, not Scripture itself and not a substitute for the reading of Scripture, pastoral counsel, or your own discernment. Scripture remains the authority; weigh every answer against it. Where the corpus does not address a question, the Service will say so rather than speculate.
AI features are subject to daily usage limits and the faithfulness and safety checks described above, which vary by plan. We may adjust these limits, models, or safeguards at any time to keep the Service reliable, faithful, and free from misuse.
05 Your Content
"Your Content" means any data you create within the Service, including bookmarks, highlights, notes, collections, reading-plan progress, voice notes (and their transcriptions), and verse images. You retain ownership of Your Content.
You grant Scripturix a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, process, transcribe, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service and to provide the features you use. Where you choose to share content, this licence extends to making that content available to the people or audience you select.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights necessary to submit it. You may export or delete Your Content at any time through your account settings.
06 Social Features and Sharing
The Service lets you connect with other users, build a public profile, share an activity feed, and share content directly or by public link. Content you choose to make public, or share by link, may be viewed by people who do not have a Scripturix account and may be cached or indexed by third parties outside our control. Share thoughtfully.
When using social features you agree not to harass, threaten, impersonate, or abuse others, or to post unlawful, hateful, or infringing content. You can manage who sees your activity through your privacy settings, and you can block users.
We provide tools to report content or users. We may review reported content and remove it, or suspend accounts, where it violates these terms. We are not obligated to monitor all content but may do so to keep the community safe.
07 Plans, Billing, and Refunds
Scripturix offers the following plans:
Free - core reading, search, study tools, and a daily allowance of AI studies, supported by advertising.
Pro - a recurring subscription that lifts daily limits, unlocks all study modes, removes ads, and may include a free trial period.
Lifetime - a one-time payment granting ongoing access to Pro features for the lifetime of the Service.
08 Payment Terms
Payments are processed by third-party providers, including Stripe and, for purchases made through a mobile app, the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your full card or banking details.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. You can cancel at any time through your account or the relevant app store; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep access until then. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
Except where required by law or by an app store's own policy, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change; we will give notice of changes affecting recurring charges before they take effect.
09 Intellectual Property
The Scripturix name, logo, interface design, and software are owned by Scripturix and protected by copyright and trademark law.
Bible translations and certain study resources are provided under licence from, or remain the copyright of, their respective holders; public-domain works are used where applicable. Copyright notices are shown alongside the relevant text. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit Scripture or licensed resources obtained through the Service beyond what the applicable licence or fair-use law permits.
Subject to these terms, you may use AI-generated output for your personal study. Because such output is assembled from Scripture and licensed or public-domain study resources, your use of it remains subject to the underlying licences of those sources.
10 Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
Scrape, harvest, or programmatically extract data or Scripture from the Service without our written permission.
Use automated tools, or attempt to bypass usage limits or safety checks, in a way that exceeds reasonable personal use.
Upload or transmit malware, or use the Service to send unsolicited or harmful communications.
11 Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, and the third parties that help us run the Service. By using the Service you acknowledge those practices.
12 Termination
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. On deletion, Your Content is permanently removed within 30 days, except where limited retention is required by law (for example, financial records).
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, create risk or legal exposure, or where required by law. We will give reasonable notice where practicable, except where immediate action is needed.
13 Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While Scripturix is designed and operated to keep AI study answers grounded in Scripture and the available corpus, and to abstain rather than invent, we cannot guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or that every answer is free from error, and to the extent permitted by law we make no warranty that it is fit for a particular purpose.
Scripturix is a study tool. Scripture, cross-references, commentary, and AI output are provided to aid study and devotion. Scripture itself is the authority; AI output does not replace it and does not constitute professional theological, legal, medical, or financial advice.
14 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scripturix and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim or fifty US dollars (US$50).
15 Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden and, where applicable, the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Sweden, and nothing in these terms removes any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under the law of your place of residence.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
16 Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
The "Effective" date at the top shows when these terms were last revised. We encourage you to review them periodically.
