Bible verses about being brave, bold, and courageous through God.
Courage in the Bible is not the absence of fear but action in the presence of God. Over and over, the call to be brave is grounded not in our own resources but in a promise: the Lord is with you. Courage is fear handed over to a God who does not leave.
These verses speak to the fearful and the faltering. They locate bravery in God's presence and power, and they show it expressed in steady faithfulness and bold witness.
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Living it out
When fear rises, courage comes from remembering who is with you, not from pretending you feel brave. Name the fear, then name the promise: the Lord goes with me and will not leave me.
Then take the next faithful step, however small. Like the early church, you can even pray for boldness to do the right thing or speak the true word that fear has been holding back.
