Bible verses about the peace of God, inner peace, and peace with others.
The peace the Bible promises is fuller than the absence of conflict. It is wholeness, a settled rightness with God that steadies the heart even when life is not calm. Jesus gives a peace the world cannot manufacture because it does not depend on circumstances.
These verses move through three kinds of peace: peace with God, peace within, and peace with others. They show where it comes from and how a troubled heart can be guarded by it.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Jesus leaves His own peace as a parting gift, unlike anything the world gives, so the heart need not be troubled.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Prayer with thanksgiving opens the door to a peace that surpasses understanding and guards heart and mind.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

The ancient blessing ends where peace belongs: the Lord lift up His face on you and give you peace.

In Christ we have peace even amid tribulation, because He has overcome the world.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
The promised child is named Prince of Peace, the source of all the rest.
Living it out
Inner peace is not summoned by trying to relax; it is received by turning to God in prayer and fixing the mind on Him. Trade the anxious replay for trust, and let His peace guard your heart.
Peace with others is the other half. As far as it depends on you, pursue it, forgive, and refuse to keep the quarrel alive, even when the other person will not.
